The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is the stronger booking here: it rates 9.6 against 9.0, has nearly double the review count, and sits directly on Marina Bay at Collyer Quay. It costs $88 more a night than JW Marriott South Beach, and gives you a rooftop pool with a hot tub the other lacks. South Beach is the better value pick if breakfast included and a lower rate matter more to you than the waterfront address and the marginally higher guest satisfaction.
The Fullerton Bay occupies a low glass-and-steel pavilion on the water, built as a companion piece to the old Fullerton Building next door, and it plays that contrast deliberately: colonial gravitas across the road, cool contemporary glass at the quay. Inside, the lobby runs long and low with black granite, brass fittings and floor-to-ceiling glass giving straight views out to the bay and the Merlion. The rooftop bar and pool are the point of the place, teak decking and skyline views over the CBD towers and the water, busy with cocktails at dusk. It draws business travellers and couples who want to be able to walk to Raffles Place and still feel like they are on holiday by a harbour.
Guests who want a genuine bay-front address, a strong rooftop pool scene, and don't mind paying more for it.
South Beach sits inside a large mixed-use complex on Beach Road, its tower designed with sweeping aluminium fins and a distinctive undulating form, the work of architect Aedas with landscape input intended to knit two heritage conservation blocks into the new build. The interiors go for a slick, dark-toned contemporary look, black stone, warm timber accents, moody lighting in the lobby bar. Its two sky gardens and twin infinity pools sit up between the towers, giving green, open-air breaks from the glass and concrete of the surrounding arts district. It suits guests who want proximity to the National Gallery, Bras Basah's museums and Marina Bay Sands over a strict waterfront outlook.
Guests focused on the arts and museum district, who want breakfast bundled in and don't need to be directly on the water.
At $572 versus $660, South Beach's guests give up the hot tub that comes with the Fullerton Bay's rooftop pool, though they gain breakfast in the room rate, which the Fullerton Bay doesn't include.
The Fullerton Bay is the more beautiful place to actually be in, thanks to its unbroken bay views and the deliberate dialogue between its glass pavilion and the historic Fullerton Building beside it.

“Great location fabulous views lovely pool.”
“Service at this property is truly special and makes this hotel a standout.”
Guests at the JW Marriott come away happier overall, as reviews consistently praise seamless service and lounge experience with no real complaints, whereas Fullerton guests note one service hiccup with the restaurant closing.

Nice hotel, they have nice food, great breakfast food selection. Even though breakfast tends to be busy. Amazing amenities from the pool to the fitness area. They have nice cozy bar inside the hotel and one just next door to the hotel. Seamless checking in and out.
