The honest take
Book the Waldorf Astoria if you want a calmer, non-gaming five-star with a serious spa and Twist by Pierre Gagnaire, and can pay the extra $83 a night plus skip breakfast. Book the Conrad if you want to be inside Resorts World's ecosystem of 40 dining rooms, seven pools and a casino, at a lower rate and with a far larger, more recently reviewed guest base (3,728 reviews at 8.6 versus 486 at 8.5). The two sit 3.2 km apart, so which end of the Strip you land on matters for how much walking you do at 1am. Neither listing gives a reason to call one worse than the other; it is a question of whether you want the casino downstairs or want to avoid it entirely.
The look and the feel
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
The Waldorf Astoria occupies the top floors of a glass tower set back from the Strip's main gambling floor, deliberately non-casino, which gives its lobby and corridors a hush that's rare in Las Vegas. The 27,000-square-foot spa with its Zen Foot Spa and eighth-floor terrace of cabanas and plunge pools reads as a genuine wellness floor rather than a poolside afterthought. Twist by Pierre Gagnaire brings a serious French kitchen into a city that mostly does spectacle, and Sky Bar and the afternoon tea room lean toward quiet ritual rather than nightlife. The building and its restraint attract couples and travellers who want five-star quiet with the Strip visible but at a distance.
Best for guests who want a quieter, spa-led five-star stay away from casino noise and are happy to pay more and arrange their own breakfast.
Conrad Las Vegas At Resorts World
Conrad Las Vegas sits inside Resorts World, a newer mega-resort complex, and its rooms go for bright colour, bold texture and a mix of metal and organic materials aimed at a younger, design-conscious business traveller. The scale is the point: a 100,000-square-foot casino, nearly 30 retail outlets, more than 40 dining options and seven pools including a family pool, so the hotel functions as its own small city rather than a retreat. In-room entertainment walls and minibars fit the same brief of contemporary convenience over old-world formality. It draws groups, conference travellers and anyone who wants everything - gaming, shopping, a family pool - under one roof.
Best for guests who want the full Strip-resort experience - casino, dozens of restaurants, multiple pools - bundled into one address at a lower nightly rate.
At $349 the Conrad has no casino on-site data lists for the Waldorf, meaning gaming, and its listing doesn't mention breakfast either way, but the concrete gap is that guests paying less at the Conrad give up the Waldorf's dedicated 27,000-square-foot spa and French fine-dining program for the breadth of Resorts World's shopping, dining and pool complex instead.
The Waldorf Astoria is the more considered space to actually sit in, because its design commits to restraint and a proper spa rather than trying to be everything on the Strip at once.

This was the most seamless hotel stay we have experienced in a long time. Every detail was perfect from check-in to checkout.
It's a beautiful, clean, tranquil place steps away from the casinos and attractions, and everything else Vegas has to offer. But when you return at night, it's quiet. We stayed in a spacious, junior king suite with a city view. It was lovely, with a large bathroom that had a separate shower

“Will definitely consider other hotels next time”
Very Clean. Great location.
Absolutely not flexible on booking cancellation with refund or even reschedule. I had emergency situation- they won’t consider. Pool closes too early, at 6 pm. Additional charge for late check out, additional bed etc. on the top of basic fees.
