The honest take

Book the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. At $440 against $585, it's cheaper, better reviewed (486 reviews at 8.5 versus 59 at 8.8, a thin sample), and has fitness facilities and a hot tub that the Venetian listing doesn't mention. The Venetian's Prestige Club Lounge access buys you volume - 20 restaurants, 9 bars, four pools - but that's Venetian-hotel scale, not this specific product's own facilities. For a couple wanting quiet and craft over casino sprawl, the Waldorf wins on both money and mood.

The look and the feel

The Venetian Prestige Club Lounge

This is a top-floor club lounge inside the Venetian/Palazzo complex, so the vibe is borrowed from the whole resort: Doge's Palace ceilings, canals, gondoliers, marble columns reproduced at Vegas scale, all of it downstairs and out the window. Up on 36, the lounge itself is described only through amenities - premium bedding, Egyptian cotton, LED screens, a daily complimentary reception - rather than any distinct interior language of its own. It functions as a private perch above one of the busiest theme-hotels on the Strip, with access to Milos and eight other restaurants and nine bars below.

Gamblers and Strip-immersion travellers who want a private lounge floor stacked above nine bars and twenty restaurants, and don't mind paying resort-scale prices for it.

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas occupies the top floors of what was built as the Mandarin Oriental tower, a sleek glass-and-steel high-rise set back from the Strip's main drag, which already makes it feel calmer than its neighbours. The listing points to a 27,000-square-foot spa with heat and water experiences, a Zen Foot Spa, and an eighth-floor terrace with cabanas, lap pools and a plunge pool - the kind of layered wellness architecture that suggests stone, glass and quiet water rather than gaming-floor noise. Twist by Pierre Gagnaire and a proper afternoon tea service point to a hotel pitching itself toward restraint and craft rather than spectacle.

Travellers who want five-star Vegas without the casino floor underfoot - spa-focused couples, quiet luxury seekers, anyone prioritising a terrace pool over a nightclub.

Cheaper here is the Waldorf, and by the facility lists it gives up nothing - if anything it adds fitness facilities and a hot tub the Venetian listing lacks; the Venetian's premium is really access to its enormous restaurant and bar count and the theatrical scale of the resort around it.

The Waldorf is the more beautiful place to actually be in - a set-back glass tower with a real spa and terrace pools reads as considered architecture, while the Venetian lounge is a nice room borrowed from a much louder building.

“An Oasis in the Desert”

This was the most seamless hotel stay we have experienced in a long time. Every detail was perfect from check-in to checkout. It's a beautiful, clean, tranquil place steps away from the casinos and attractions, and everything else Vegas has to offer. But when you return at night, it's quiet. We stayed in a spacious, junior king suite with a city view. It was lovely, with a large bathroom that had a separate shower

“Will definitely consider other hotels next time”

Very Clean. Great location.

Absolutely not flexible on booking cancellation with refund or even reschedule. I had emergency situation- they won’t consider. Pool closes too early, at 6 pm. Additional charge for late check out, additional bed etc. on the top of basic fees.
