The Venetian Prestige Club Lounge rooms sit at $578, the JW Marriott at $374, and the gap buys you the Strip address versus a quieter suburban one twelve kilometres out. The JW has more facilities listed here — casino, fitness, hot tub, golf — and a far bigger review base at nearly 400 guests versus 59. If you want to be inside the Las Vegas Boulevard scene, book the Venetian; if you want space, quiet and a proper spa resort feel without the crowds, book the JW.
The Venetian Prestige Club Lounge
The Venetian is Sheldon Adelson's Venice fantasy on steroids: canals piped indoors under painted sky ceilings, gondoliers poling past Gucci and Prada, marble floors underfoot that never quite let you forget you're in a casino dressed as a Renaissance palazzo. The Prestige Club Lounge on the 36th floor is the quieter, adults-only version of that theatre — floor-to-ceiling glass over the Strip, a private reception with food and drink laid out through the day, a hush that the casino floor below doesn't have. Rooms have Egyptian cotton and LED televisions, standard five-star trimmings, but the real material of the place is spectacle: nine bars, twenty restaurants including Estiatorio Milos, a nightclub, four pools. It draws people who want Vegas at full volume with a lounge to retreat to when the volume gets tiring.
Right for guests who want the Strip's theatre and nightlife at their doorstep with a private lounge to escape into.
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa
The JW Marriott sits away from the Strip in Summerlin, a resort built around a spa and a golf course rather than a casino floor, and it feels like a different city's idea of Las Vegas — desert light, palm-lined pool deck, an 11,000-square-foot pool with a waterfall rather than four Strip-facing ones. Aquae Sulis Spa has 36 treatment rooms and rooms come with two-person spa baths, which tells you the emphasis is soak-and-recover rather than see-and-be-seen. Eight restaurants cover American, Italian, Japanese and Mediterranean, modest against the Venetian's twenty, but the pace here is resort rather than Strip: volleyball courts, a gym, golf, a casino too but clearly not the point.
Right for guests who want a spa resort with space, golf and quiet, and don't mind being away from the Strip.
The JW, for $204 less, gives up the Strip address, the twenty-restaurant and nine-bar density, and the club lounge concept itself — but on paper it adds casino, fitness, hot tub and golf that aren't listed for the Venetian package.
The Venetian is the more theatrical, memorable place to stand in — painted skies and marble canals are pure spectacle even if you find them absurd, and nothing at a suburban resort spa competes with that.

“Five Star Stay!”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely attentive, professional, and friendly. We were greeted by name each time we arrived and departed from the hotel. The valet staff Paul, and Sam, are five star employees and go over and beyond for their guests. Kevin in The Earl Grey Cafe was excellent also!
