Book Bellagio. It's $432 against $576 for the Venetian Prestige Club floor, has more than fifty times the review base backing up its 8.7, and comes with a casino, gym, hot tub and golf that the Venetian listing simply doesn't offer. The Venetian product is a private high-floor lounge experience within the Palazzo/Venetian complex, which suits a narrower kind of guest, but on facilities and price Bellagio is the stronger booking.

The Venetian Prestige Club Lounge
This is the Prestige Club Lounge on the 36th floor of the Venetian, not the whole resort: a members'-style space above the main hotel with premium bedding, Egyptian cotton sheets and LED televisions in the rooms it serves, plus access to the wider property's four outdoor pools, spa tubs, nightclub and its twenty restaurants including Milos. The feel is closer to a private aerie than a lobby you wander through, with daily complimentary reception and a sense of separation from the Strip crowds below.
Guests who want an exclusive, quiet upper-floor retreat within a mega-resort and don't mind paying more for the separation from the casino floor.
Bellagio
Bellagio sits behind its own fountains, and that address does real work: marble en suite bathrooms, electronic drapes, iPod docks in rooms that still read as the late-90s vision of Vegas luxury softened over time. Five courtyard pools and the conservatory's botanical gardens give it a sense of daylight and greenery that's rare on the Strip, and Sadelle's and Prime Steakhouse anchor a dining programme built for people who came for the show as much as the room.
Anyone who wants the classic Strip experience, with a casino, gardens and fountains, at a lower nightly rate.
At $576 against Bellagio's $432, the Venetian lounge gives up a casino, fitness facilities, a hot tub and golf, none of which appear in its listing.
