The honest take
Book the St. Regis: it rates higher (9.4 vs 9.2 over more reviews' worth of price), costs $372 less a night, and sits on the same stretch of Reforma. The Four Seasons is the grander operation, with a proper spa, pool and courtyard, but you are paying over 50% more for it. Both are on Reforma within 300 metres of each other, so location is a wash. Choose on what you actually want from the stay, not the postcode.
The look and the feel
The St. Regis Mexico City
The St. Regis occupies a glassy modern tower on Reforma, all vertical lines and a soaring lobby that plays up drama over intimacy: dark stone floors, high ceilings, a sense of the building announcing itself to the boulevard. Butler service is the signature here, a New York import grafted onto Mexico City, and it shows in the formality of the staff and the hush of the corridors. Rooms lean sophisticated-contemporary rather than warm, with the polish you expect from the brand rather than any strong local hand. It draws business travellers and those who want the St. Regis ritual, the sabre-opened champagne and the sense of being looked after by name.
Business travellers and St. Regis loyalists who want ritual, formality and value relative to the neighbourhood's top tier.
Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City
The Four Seasons sits back from Reforma around a courtyard, a quieter, more residential feel than its tower neighbours, with the low-rise colonial-revival massing giving it a garden hotel's calm rather than a skyscraper's flash. Inside it is softer and more traditional, cream stone, arched walkways, potted greenery, the kind of hush that comes from thick walls rather than height. El Bar and Becco give it a clubbier, more sociable social life, and the Wednesday champagne tasting suggests a hotel that wants guests to linger rather than just pass through. It suits people who want a resort's worth of facilities, spa, pool, sauna, gym, and don't mind paying for the room to breathe.
Leisure guests and longer stays who want a courtyard hotel with a full spa, pool and clubbable bar life.
At $695 the St. Regis doesn't advertise the pool, sauna, hot tub or full spa circuit the Four Seasons lists, so guests wanting to swim or use a barbershop and sauna have less to work with here.
The Four Seasons is the more beautiful place to sit still in, its courtyard and low colonial lines giving it an ease the St. Regis tower, built for impression rather than repose, doesn't try for.

What a wonderful stay! We were upgraded to a beautiful suite room 1001. We also used their airport transportation and Roberto was excellent but so was the other driver. When we arrived the bellmen promptly assisted us with our luggage and we were checkin. We were excited to have seen the nice upgrade (am Ambassador) and they acknowledged my status. The whole stay was magical. The King Cole Bar is a wonderful space

“Treated Like Genuinely Welcomed Guests”
The St. Regis Mexico City is an outstanding hotel, and we can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like genuinely welcomed guests. That began at check-in, where the team took real care with our room selection, and it continued throughout our stay — there was always someone asking whether there was anything they could do to make our visit more enjoyable. That kind of consistent, at

“Impeccable rooms, perfect service”
The St Regis has the best service of any hotel in Mexico City. The rooms are impeccable, and the security is top notch. The terrace of the restaurant is lovely for a relaxed brunch any day (or every day) of the week. Special thanks to Iliana at the front desk for her outstanding hospitality and kindness.
Love my room - fully remodeled, very nice design and details. Super friendly staff, late check out offered no-charge (appreciated). Also professional and comfy Airport ride, great service
