Both sit at 9.6 with review counts within forty of each other, which makes this mostly a question of setting and price. Rosewood Bangkok is $356 a night versus $589 for the Four Seasons, and its facility list already matches or beats the Four Seasons on paper, sauna, nightclub, outdoor pool, fitness centre included. The Four Seasons' one edge is pet-friendliness, which only matters if you are travelling with an animal. Book Rosewood unless the riverside setting itself is the point.
The Four Seasons Bangkok occupies a tower on the Chao Phraya, and the whole design logic follows the water: rooms angled for river views, a pool that seems to run toward the current, a lobby with the hush and polish typical of the brand's Asian flagships, lots of dark wood, brass fittings, orchids kept at exactly the right stage of bloom. It sits on Charoen Krung, one of Bangkok's oldest commercial roads, so the street outside has warehouses, old shophouses and river-trade history rather than glossy retail. Evenings mean boat traffic lit up on the water and a slower, more residential feel than the Sukhumvit hotels.
Travellers who want the classic five-star river resort feel, slower pace, water views, and are happy paying more for that setting.
Rosewood Bangkok is the newer, architecturally sharper building, a folded glass tower on Ploenchit designed to look cracked open, all angular white concrete and glass by architect Kengo Kuma's studio in collaboration with local firms. Inside it trades old-school opulence for something cooler and more sculptural, pale stone, restrained lighting, a lobby that reads more gallery than hotel. It sits right on the BTS line in Pathumwan, in the thick of Bangkok's mall and office district, so the energy outside is dense, vertical and constantly moving rather than riverside and unhurried.
Travellers who want striking contemporary architecture, direct transit access, and full facilities at a noticeably lower price.
On paper the cheaper hotel, Rosewood, gives up nothing from the facility lists; the only listed difference favouring the Four Seasons is that it allows pets.
Rosewood's folded glass form and gallery-like interiors make it the more visually striking building to actually walk into, though the Four Seasons' river frontage is the more atmospheric place to sit still.

Four Seasons guests come away happier, as reviews describe near-flawless stays with nothing to complain about, while Rosewood guests praise the staff but note minor issues like pillow firmness and traffic.

- all the pillows are soft. Usually a firmer pillows are used in combination with the soft ones like four seasons hotels and many others. This caused me pain in neck. - please add milk creamer sachets for the espresso mini bar
“Wonderful stay and a fantastic holiday escape”
The staff's friendliness and quick service
The traffic nearby was pretty heavy all day
